Our Highways Team
Our Highways team supports a broad range of infrastructure and development projects, providing expertise in highway design, transportation planning, highways approvals, and road safety.
We work closely with clients, local authorities, and regulatory bodies to deliver compliant, efficient, and safe highways solutions, often as part of wider multi-disciplinary project teams. This includes supporting projects from early feasibility and planning stages through to detailed design, audit, and delivery.
The Opportunity
We are building a talent pool of experienced Highways Engineers and Road Safety Auditors to support upcoming and future project requirements across our UK portfolio.
This is an expression of interest rather than a current requirement; however, it will operate as an active recruitment process, with opportunities to engage directly with our teams to discuss your experience and suitability for future contract work.
Successful candidates will be added to a pre-qualified, verified contractor pool, enabling faster engagement as project needs arise.
What We’re Looking For
We are particularly interested in contractors with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Highways Engineers
To lead the planning, design, and delivery of highway infrastructure projects, ensuring that all works are developed in accordance with relevant standards, client requirements, and statutory obligations.
Provides technical leadership, project management support, and quality assurance throughout project lifecycles.
- Significant experience in the design and delivery of UK highway infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, CDM Regulations, and local authority design standards.
- Experience in highway geometry, drainage, pavement design, active travel infrastructure, and development-related highway works.
- Proficiency in relevant highway design software and CAD platforms.
- Background working on infrastructure, development, or local authority projects
Road Safety Auditors
To independently assess highway and traffic schemes to identify potential road safety issues and recommend measures to reduce collision risk for all road users, through the delivery and reporting of Stage 1–4 Road Safety Audits, including preparation of audit briefs and reports, site inspections, documentation of findings and recommendations, and participation in audit meetings and reviews as required.
- Appropriate road safety audit accreditation and training.
- Demonstrable experience undertaking Road Safety Audits on UK highway schemes.
- Detailed knowledge of DMRB GG 119 and related highway design standards.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Experience of traffic signals, junction improvements, active travel schemes, and highway infrastructure projects.
