Staff Accountant

This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial operations within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions including month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. You will work closely with Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and decision-ready. The position requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured yet dynamic setting. You will also contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Accountabilities:
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis to maintain financial integrity.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with financial reporting activities, audit support, and preparation of well-documented accounting records.
- Support accounts payable backup functions, credit card reconciliations, and related expense tracking activities.
- Partner with Sales Operations and People Operations to review and process commission-related accounting activities.
- Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and other supporting financial documentation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and cross-functional accounting initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience in corporate, technology, or professional services environments.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core accounting concepts.
- Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and financial modeling functions.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
