This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting operations within a dynamic, marketing-focused organization operating through a shared services model. You will play a central role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient month-end close processes, and strong compliance across multiple business units. The position combines hands-on technical accounting with leadership responsibilities, overseeing day-to-day general ledger activities and guiding a small accounting team. You will collaborate closely with finance, AP, AR, payroll, and business stakeholders to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency. The environment is fast-paced, international, and highly collaborative, with strong exposure to corporate finance and cross-functional initiatives. Your work will directly support decision-making across multiple brands within a global marketing network.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee daily general ledger accounting operations and month-end close activities
  • Review journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounting adjustments
  • Supervise and support accounting staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and perform detailed general ledger analysis
  • Coordinate with AR, AP, payroll, and finance teams to resolve accounting inquiries
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper eliminations across entities
  • Support audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditors
  • Assist with tax-related schedules and reporting requirements
  • Maintain organized accounting records and support reporting system uploads (e.g., Hyperion)
  • Contribute to ad-hoc financial analysis and corporate initiatives as needed
  • Requirements:

    • 5–7 years of accounting experience in corporate or shared services environments
    • Minimum 2 years of experience managing or supervising an accounting team
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
    • Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting processes
    • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar
    • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile accounts and perform GL analysis
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
    • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
    • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines effectively
    • Experience in marketing or multi-entity corporate environments is a plus
