This is a client-facing, senior bookkeeping role focused on delivering full-cycle accounting services within a fast-paced, cloud-based environment.
You will support a diverse portfolio of clients by managing end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
The role combines technical accounting expertise with advisory responsibilities, acting as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams.
You will work with modern cloud accounting tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across financial operations.
A key part of the role involves supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes while maintaining high-quality reporting standards.
You will also collaborate with junior team members, providing guidance and helping improve overall team performance.

Accountabilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and process payroll, including government remittances, T4s, Records of Employment, and related compliance filings.
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliation of GL accounts such as cash, bank, AR, AP, accrued liabilities, and intercompany accounts.
- Maintain and monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and other key financial records across client portfolios.
- Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and collaborate with supervisors or engagement leads to resolve issues effectively.
- Provide support and mentorship to junior bookkeeping team members while ensuring quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Liaise directly with clients to provide guidance, resolve administrative matters, and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Monitor budgets, work-in-progress, and identify potential out-of-scope or value-added service opportunities.
- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a client-facing or multi-client environment.
- Certificate or diploma in accounting, business administration, or a related field (asset).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Experience preparing payroll, T4s, ROEs, and managing government remittances.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, or Dext (certifications are an asset).
- Familiarity with desktop accounting tools such as QuickBooks Desktop or Sage 50 is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff is considered an asset.
- Competitive annual salary range of CAD 55,000–75,000.
