This role sits within a specialized global organization operating at the intersection of science, research, and financial stewardship, where accounting plays a critical role in enabling responsible growth and operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust accounting records, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The position combines hands-on accounting execution with analytical responsibilities, including variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial insights that support leadership decision-making. You will also contribute to strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and supporting continuous enhancement of financial systems and workflows. The environment is collaborative and detail-oriented, with strong exposure to cross-functional teams and international operations. This is a high-impact role where precision, accountability, and continuous improvement directly support business performance and strategic growth. You will also support broader finance initiatives, including tax coordination and process optimization.

Accountabilities:

  • Prepare, review, and post general journal entries across multiple entities to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Deliver timely and accurate management reporting, including variance analysis and financial performance insights.
  • Evaluate and support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures aligned with reporting requirements.
  • Manage account reconciliations on a scheduled basis and ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial statements in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support payroll-related accounting entries and collaborate on accurate financial recording of compensation data.
  • Assist in tax-related processes by coordinating with external advisors and ensuring timely submission of required data.
  • Contribute to internal control design, documentation, and process improvement initiatives across finance operations.
  • Support cross-functional finance projects, including system enhancements and financial analysis initiatives.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and best practices across reporting.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
    • 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or global finance environment.
    • CPA designation or working toward CPA is strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASPE accounting standards.
    • Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and management accounting processes.
    • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools, including advanced spreadsheet functions.
    • Experience working with ERP systems and integrated accounting platforms.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
    • Experience with tax processes and global accounting environments is an advantage.
