Accounting Manager

This role sits at the core of building a modern, scalable accounting function for a fast-growing, product-led business operating across digital commerce and physical operations. You will take ownership of the financial systems, processes, and infrastructure that support rapid growth, including ERP transformation, inventory accounting, and multi-entity readiness. The role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in building structure where systems are still evolving. You will work closely with finance leadership, operations, and engineering to design reliable accounting workflows and data integrations. Your work will directly impact close accuracy, financial visibility, and scalability as the business expands into new markets. This is a builder-focused role with high visibility and long-term influence on the company’s financial architecture.

Accountabilities:

Own the design, implementation, and optimization of core accounting systems and processes to support scale, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead the end-to-end ERP migration from QuickBooks Online, including selection, implementation, data migration, and stabilization.
  • Design and integrate financial systems across platforms such as Stripe, Bill.com, Ramp, payroll, and CRM tools to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Establish inventory accounting and COGS structures, including policy definition (FIFO/weighted average), subledger creation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Build scalable accounting infrastructure for multi-entity, multi-currency, and intercompany operations in preparation for international expansion.
  • Implement controls and reporting for reserves, returns, obsolescence, shrinkage, and other inventory-related adjustments.
  • Identify and deploy automation and AI-driven solutions to streamline reconciliations, close processes, and reporting workflows.
  • Develop documentation, SOPs, and accounting policies that will serve as the foundation for future finance operations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and external advisors to ensure system alignment and audit readiness.
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with systems thinking and experience building scalable finance infrastructure.

    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including ERP implementation or migration in a scaling environment.
    • Strong background in inventory accounting and COGS in a physical goods or hybrid (hardware/software) business.
    • Deep understanding of accounting systems, integrations, and data flows across financial platforms.
    • Experience working with multi-entity and multi-currency structures, or clear exposure to scalable international accounting environments.
    • Strong technical fluency in accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
    • Ability to translate complex system flows (e.g., payments, subscriptions, payouts) into accurate journal entries.
    • CPA preferred, with a mix of public accounting and high-growth in-house experience strongly valued.
    • Builder mindset with experience defining processes from scratch and creating durable financial operating models.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
