This is a high-impact strategic insights leadership role within a growing US commercial organization focused on advancing access and outcomes for patients with serious autoimmune and rare diseases. The position is responsible for defining and leading the US insights strategy and learning agenda across a key therapeutic area, ensuring that business decisions are grounded in high-quality, actionable intelligence. You will act as a key advisor to senior leadership, shaping market understanding, informing go-to-market strategy, and influencing brand and portfolio direction. The role blends strategic thinking, market research expertise, and cross-functional partnership in a fast-paced, evolving environment. It requires someone who can connect complex data sources into clear narratives that drive decisions. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on commercial strategy and future market success.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the US commercial insights strategy and learning agenda, identifying key business questions and translating them into structured research plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (commercial, medical, analytics, and market access) to deliver actionable insights that shape market development and go-to-market strategies.
- Design and oversee primary and secondary market research initiatives, ensuring methodological rigor and alignment with business objectives.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources, including market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, and field insights, to build a unified view of the market and customer landscape.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, influencing key decisions on positioning, strategy, and commercial execution.
- Ensure insights are clearly communicated and translated into actionable recommendations that drive measurable business impact.
- Manage vendor relationships and contribute to oversight of budgets, contracts, and external partnerships in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Foster innovation in insights generation by exploring new methodologies, tools, and data sources to enhance decision-making capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare insights, or related commercial functions.
- Strong expertise in primary market research, ideally within rare disease and/or rheumatology.
- Deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and their application in commercial strategy.
- Proven ability to integrate complex, disparate data sets into clear strategic narratives and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into compelling recommendations for executive audiences.
- Experience with product launches in rare disease or specialty care is a plus.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources, vendors, and commercial research tools.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to operate effectively across global and US teams.
