This role focuses on driving end-to-end process transformation within electric utility distribution patrol and inspection programs, supporting critical initiatives that improve safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work at the intersection of field operations, engineering, asset management, and regulatory compliance to analyze and optimize complex workflows. The position involves deep engagement in process discovery, modeling, and redesign, translating operational realities into structured BPMN-based frameworks. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, data gaps, and improvement opportunities across inspection and maintenance cycles. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring both analytical rigor and strong facilitation skills in a regulated utility environment. Your work will directly influence how large-scale utility inspection processes are executed and governed.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and support end-to-end process mapping and analysis for electric distribution patrol and inspection workflows, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop detailed As-Is and To-Be process models using BPMN 2.0 standards and tools such as SAP Signavio, ARIS, Blueworks, or Visio.
  • Collaborate with field operations, engineering, vegetation management, asset management, and compliance teams to capture and validate workflows.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, risks, and breakdowns in inspection execution, data quality, and cross-functional handoffs.
  • Support integration of processes with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EAM, mobile workforce solutions, and related systems.
  • Define and track operational KPIs such as inspection adherence, defect backlog, and compliance performance metrics.
  • Contribute to process governance frameworks, documentation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Requirements:

    • 7+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or operational consulting, ideally within regulated utility environments.
    • Strong experience in electric utility distribution, particularly patrol, inspection, or asset condition assessment programs.
    • Advanced knowledge of BPMN 2.0 modeling standards and hands-on experience with process mapping tools such as SAP Signavio, ARIS, Blueworks, or Visio.
    • Experience working with SAP environments, ideally SAP S/4HANA or SAP EAM.
    • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across technical, operational, and leadership teams.
    • Familiarity with utility asset management, GIS, mobile workforce systems, or process mining tools is highly desirable.
    • Lean or Six Sigma certification and consulting experience are strong advantages.
    • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple complex initiatives.
