Business Systems Analyst - Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Systems Analyst - Lead based in the United States.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a systems-focused professional who will play a key role in analyzing, optimizing, and improving enterprise application and infrastructure operations. You will work across business and technical teams to evaluate current systems, identify gaps against industry best practices, and define actionable improvement roadmaps. The role combines analytical rigor with strategic advisory responsibilities, ensuring that enterprise systems align with organizational goals and operational efficiency standards. Working in a fully remote environment, you will provide technical guidance while also translating system-level insights into business impact. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in structured, process-driven environments and enjoy driving continuous improvement at scale. You will contribute directly to strengthening enterprise application performance and operational maturity.

Accountabilities:

  • Document existing application and infrastructure operations, processes, and technical practices across enterprise environments.
  • Analyze current-state systems and workflows against industry best practices and identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop actionable plans of action and milestones (POA&M) to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and system performance.
  • Provide technical and strategic guidance on the business implications of system design, configuration, and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into system improvements and process enhancements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across application and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to documentation standards, process governance, and operational best practices across teams.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business systems analysis, IT operations, or enterprise application support.
    • Strong understanding of IT application and infrastructure lifecycle processes.
    • Experience analyzing enterprise systems and aligning operations with best practices or governance frameworks.
    • PMP certification, Agile certification, or equivalent project management qualification is required.
    • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) clearance.
    • Experience working in structured, compliance-driven environments is strongly preferred.
