This role sits at the intersection of healthcare analytics, contract strategy, and payer relations, supporting critical financial decision-making across a national network of care delivery centers. You will lead advanced pricing models and reimbursement analyses that directly inform health plan negotiations and shape long-term contracting strategy. Working closely with contracting leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that improve financial outcomes and support sustainable growth. The position requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, healthcare reimbursement expertise, and executive-level communication. You will also play a key role in ensuring data integrity, improving modeling processes, and supporting high-impact strategic initiatives. Accountabilities:
In this role, you will serve as a strategic analytical partner to Health Plan Relations leadership by developing, maintaining, and enhancing financial models that support payer contract negotiations and reimbursement strategy. You will ensure data accuracy, deliver executive-ready insights, and contribute to optimizing contract performance across markets. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading payer contract modeling and financial analysis to evaluate current and proposed reimbursement rates across multiple markets and service lines.
- Translating complex pricing and transparency data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for negotiation support.
- Building, validating, and maintaining high-quality financial models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of outputs.
- Managing biannual data collection cycles, including validation, cleanup, and preparation of large-scale datasets for analysis.
- Identifying and resolving data discrepancies in collaboration with Revenue Cycle Management and operational teams.
- Supporting ad-hoc financial and reimbursement analyses to inform leadership decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Preparing clear, concise presentations and reports for executive stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
This position requires strong healthcare finance expertise combined with advanced analytical capability and the ability to communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in healthcare analytics, including at least 2 years focused on payer contract modeling.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (e.g., CMS-based pricing, fee schedules, carve-outs, percent of billed charges).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Basic working knowledge of SQL is preferred.
- Experience working with large and complex healthcare billing datasets and financial models.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses to executive audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
