PHP Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PHP Developer based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to work on scalable, high-performance web applications for an international client in a fully remote environment. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for building and maintaining robust backend systems using the LAMP stack. The position involves working across the full development lifecycle, from designing and developing new features to optimizing existing systems for speed and reliability. You will contribute to improving application architecture while ensuring clean, maintainable, and reusable code. • Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based applications using the LAMP stack, ensuring scalable and efficient backend systems.
• Build and maintain backend services while integrating frontend components developed by cross-functional team members.
• Develop reusable, testable PHP modules and ensure high code quality through best practices and standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and responsiveness across web systems and databases.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain core applications and database systems to ensure reliability and stability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and remote team members to gather requirements and deliver features within timelines.

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience in PHP development with strong expertise in the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
• Strong understanding of backend development principles, database design, and system optimization.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter is a plus.
• Proficiency in Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in remote or distributed teams.
