Job Description

Global Supply Business Development (GSBD) is part of the Manufacturing Division and supports business development opportunities that expand the company’s pipeline and increase access to medicines and vaccines. The organization partners closely with Corporate Business Development, Research & Development, Human Health, Legal, Finance, Quality, Technology, Commercialization, Operations, and other Manufacturing stakeholders to evaluate, negotiate, and execute transactions with a supply, manufacturing, or technical transfer component.

The primary responsibility for this role is to support key program management/business process operations activities across Global Supply Business Development including, but not limited to:

  • Actively works with all members of the Global Supply Business Development (GSBD) team as well as members of the larger Manufacturing Division to ensure consistent principles and a synergistic approach across the organization.  Collaborates closely with stakeholders in the Corporate, Research & Development and Human Health Divisions.

  • Responsible for coordinating and managing all department tools and systems.

  • Drive operational excellence across business development activities by standardizing workflows, coordinating governance reviews, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve execution.

  • Monitor business development operational metrics, support documentation and compliance requirements, and provide clear status updates to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Establish a dashboard for the organization and monitor progress towards achieving annual priorities.

  • Under the oversight of Business Development Leads, support contracting for some BD agreements.

  • Under the direction of Business Development Leads, provide high quality support with a variety of business development activities, as appropriate

  • Support business development processes and operations by tracking deal progression, and ensuring timely updates to key systems, dashboards, and reports.

  • Generate executive level presentations, communications, and executive briefings for internal and external meetings.

Education Minimum Requirement:   

  • Required:  Bachelor's degree

  • Preferred:  Graduate degree is desirable in Business, Supply Chain Management, Science, or Engineering related disciplines

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with increasing responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Science and Technology, Global Procurement, Market Research and/or related business areas. 

  • Candidate must possess excellent leadership, collaboration, facilitation and communication skills.  Must possess the ability to influence without authority and demonstrate the ability to effectively operate in an ambiguous/changing environment.

  • Highly proficient in the use of personal computers and business software. Strong analytical skills, project management and facilitation skills required.

The salary range for this role is

$142,400.00 - $224,100.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
