Inside Business Development Manager - Advisor

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Inside Business Development Manager – Advisor based in Canada.

This role is a high-impact sales and relationship-driven position focused on supporting financial advisors with tailored banking and lending solutions. You will act as a key growth partner, building and nurturing long-term relationships within an assigned territory while helping advisors maximize value for their clients. The position blends strategic business development with high-volume outbound engagement, requiring strong communication, discipline, and commercial acumen. You will use data, CRM tools, and structured outreach to identify opportunities, schedule meetings, and drive product adoption. Working closely with internal partners, you will support advisors through applications, service issues, and solution design. This is a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment where relationship-building directly translates into measurable business growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive advisor engagement through high-volume outbound outreach (approximately 40 calls per day), promoting banking and lending solutions and scheduling strategic meetings.
  • Conduct advisor meetings to present product value, strengthen relationships, and support sales growth across assigned territories.
  • Manage and develop a defined geographic territory by executing structured business plans and tracking performance through CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Support advisors with applications, service escalations, and product-related inquiries to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Collaborate with internal BDMs and cross-functional teams to align on sales strategy, campaign execution, and growth initiatives.
  • Contribute to business development planning, including follow-ups, pipeline management, and marketing activity coordination.
  • Participate in mentoring, knowledge sharing, and sales enablement initiatives to support team performance and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, training requirements, and responsible sales practices.
  • Requirements

    This role requires a strong background in sales, relationship management, or financial services, with the ability to thrive in a structured, high-performance outbound environment. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, highly organized, and comfortable working with data to guide decision-making and prioritize opportunities.

    • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client relationship roles, ideally within banking, insurance, or financial services.
    • Proven ability to build and grow client or advisor relationships in a performance-driven environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.
    • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and analyzing sales data to manage pipelines and territory performance.
    • Solid organizational and business planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Comfortable working in a high-volume outreach environment with clear performance targets.
    • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Bilingual English/French is an asset, and may be required depending on region.
