Business Development Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager based in India.

This role is focused on driving strategic growth across high-tech timing and synchronization solutions used in defense, aerospace, and critical infrastructure markets. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market presence across assigned territories. The position involves working closely with partners, end-users, and internal teams to develop pipelines, close deals, and support long-term commercial success. You will play a central role in shaping go-to-market strategies by analyzing market trends, geopolitical factors, and industry demands. Operating in a highly technical and specialized environment, you will translate complex solutions into clear business value for customers. This is a high-impact role where commercial execution and technical understanding directly contribute to mission-critical operations worldwide.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share across timing and synchronization solutions in assigned territories.
  • Manage and expand relationships with key customers, end-users, and business partners to drive long-term strategic collaboration.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities while maintaining a strong and active sales pipeline.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to support business planning and positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, technical proposals, bid reviews, and commercial negotiations.
  • Support partners with product training, sales enablement, and technical guidance to improve market penetration.
  • Participate in contract discussions, due diligence processes, and post-sales support for complex customer requirements.
  • Maintain regular reporting on pipeline activity, forecasts, and market developments using CRM tools.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing insights on customer needs, industry evolution, and product roadmap direction.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through continuous engagement and proactive relationship management.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
    • 7+ years of experience in business development or sales within high-tech industries, ideally in timing, synchronization, or related technologies.
    • Strong understanding of complex technical solutions such as NTP, PTP, or precision timing systems.
    • Proven experience managing channel partners, business partners, and direct customer relationships in B2B or government sectors.
    • Familiarity with defense, aerospace, or critical infrastructure markets is highly desirable.
    • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pipeline management, CRM tools, and deal closing.
    • Ability to interpret market trends, geopolitical influences, and regulatory factors affecting industry growth.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to combine technical understanding and business strategy.
    • Ability to work independently across territories while coordinating with global, cross-functional teams.
