In this high-impact commercial role, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth by building and scaling partnerships within national and regional banking institutions across North America. You will operate at the intersection of fintech and traditional banking, identifying new partnership opportunities and converting complex institutional relationships into long-term revenue-generating collaborations. This is a hunter-focused position requiring strong deal-making instincts, deep relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate sophisticated banking organizations. You will lead the full partnership lifecycle—from prospecting and pitching through negotiation, contracting, and long-term relationship stewardship. Working closely with product and technical teams, you will help shape embedded retirement solutions that integrate seamlessly into partner ecosystems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-stakes, consultative sales environments and is motivated by building markets, not just closing deals.
Accountabilities:
- Identify, develop, and close strategic partnerships with national and regional banking institutions across the U.S., driving new business growth in the bank channel.
- Own the full partnership lifecycle, including prospecting, lead generation, discovery, solution design, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing relationship management.
- Develop compelling partner value propositions and executive-level pitches that position embedded retirement solutions as a core banking offering.
- Navigate complex, matrixed financial institutions and align internal and external stakeholders toward shared commercial outcomes.
- Build and maintain a structured partner pipeline with accurate forecasting and disciplined opportunity management.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to support integrations, enhancements, and technical solution alignment.
- Conduct competitive and market analysis to position offerings effectively within the banking and embedded finance ecosystem.
- Monitor regulatory, competitive, and technological trends impacting banking, fintech, and embedded financial services.
- Proactively manage partner relationships, resolving conflicts and ensuring long-term value creation and expansion opportunities.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, or business development within fintech, financial services, or SaaS.
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals in banking or highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of the banking ecosystem, embedded finance, 401(k) or retirement products, and API-driven financial solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives within large financial institutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills with strong business storytelling ability.
- Highly analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical or product concepts into clear business value.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple strategic deals simultaneously.
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- On-target earnings (OTE) of $205,000 – $235,000 USD, including base salary and performance-based variable compensation.
