The Technology Learning Team (TLT) has an exciting opening for a Learning Experience Designer & Facilitator. This is a full-time, temporary position lasting for six (6) months.
The temporary Learning Experience Designer & Facilitator supports the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Insights – Journeys project by joining the Technology Learning Team to help design and deliver high-quality, instructor-led training for Advancement staff. The role partners with subject matter experts, project managers, and University Advancement leaders to develop and facilitate an instructor-led lab curriculum that enables learners to build practical, hands-on skills. This position balances curriculum development with live facilitation and may also contribute to creating supplemental online learning content.
What You Will Do
Program Development and Content Management (60%)
Design and develop live training programs, including hands-on activities, facilitator guides, and participant materials.
Deliver engaging training sessions that help learners apply new skills in real-world scenarios.
Partner with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with program goals.
Prepare for and lead training sessions, including planning, practice runs, and ensuring materials and logistics are ready.
Collaborate with TLT to plan training approaches, manage timelines, and review content.
Online Learning Development (30%)
Support the creation of online or self-paced training materials, such as eLearning courses, job aids, and videos.
Convert live training content into digital formats to create flexible, blended learning experiences.
Ensure consistency and alignment between live and online training materials.
Other duties as assigned (10%)
Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree AND three years of experience in Instructional Design, Adult Learning or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing and delivering live (instructor-led) training, including hands-on or scenario-based learning.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
Experience preparing and delivering high-quality training sessions, including planning and practice runs.
Experience creating both live and self-paced training materials (e.g., eLearning modules, job aids, videos).
Familiarity with instructional design best practices and creating learner-focused content.
Ability to break down complex technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand materials.
Experience using eLearning tools such as Articulate, Rise, or similar platforms.
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience ensuring consistency across training materials and formats.
Familiarity with technology platforms or systems (such as CRM or marketing tools) and translating them into training content.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
