Singapore's buildings, infrastructure and urban spaces do not happen by accident. Behind every home, workplace, construction project and city space are systems, regulations and services that keep the built environment safe, sustainable and future-ready.
At GovTech, forward deployed to Building and Construction Authority (BCA), you will work on digital products and platforms that support how Singapore regulates, plans and transforms its built environment. [What you will be working on]
We're looking for a Senior Designer to join the CORENET X team and help shape the future of Singapore's Built Environment digital services.
CORENET X is a large-scale digital transformation programme involving multiple agencies, products and stakeholders across the built environment ecosystem. As a Senior Designer, you'll work on complex end-to-end user journeys, partner closely with product managers, engineers and domain experts, and lead discovery to uncover opportunities that improve user outcomes.
You'll help bring clarity to complex problem spaces by translating research and systems thinking into actionable product strategies, while collaborating with other designers to raise the overall quality and consistency of the design practice.
What you'll do
Lead end-to-end user discovery, research and service design initiatives across complex problem spaces.
Translate research insights into clear opportunities, user journeys, service blueprints and product strategies.
Partner with product managers, engineers and business stakeholders to shape product direction and prioritise customer outcomes.
Facilitate workshops and align cross-functional teams around shared understanding and decision-making.
Simplify complex systems, policies and operational processes into intuitive customer experiences.
Coach and mentor designers, providing guidance on design quality, research and stakeholder engagement.
Advocate for evidence-led design by incorporating user research, product analytics and continuous validation into delivery.
Contribute to the growth of design practice, frameworks, standards and ways of working.
[What we are looking for]
Experience leading UX or Service Design initiatives for complex digital products or services.
Strong systems thinking with the ability to navigate ambiguity and connect multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Experience planning and conducting user research and translating findings into strategic recommendations.
Ability to influence product direction through evidence rather than assumptions.
Experience working within cross-functional Agile product teams.
Passion for mentoring others and raising design capability across teams.
Nice to have
Experience working within government or highly regulated environments.
Familiarity with service design methods, journey mapping and ecosystem mapping.
Experience using qualitative and quantitative research to inform product decisions.
Experience designing for large-scale digital transformation programmes.
