Senior Product Designer

Jobgether · US

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer based in the United States.

This is a high-impact product design role focused on shaping complex, data-rich software used in mission-critical transit environments. You will design end-to-end experiences that help public agencies improve service reliability, operational decision-making, and passenger communication. The work spans real-time systems and deep analytical platforms, turning complex datasets into clear, trustworthy user experiences. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers in a highly iterative environment where design is embedded directly into product development. The role requires strong systems thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to translate operational complexity into intuitive interfaces. It is well suited for a designer who enjoys solving real-world problems at scale and influencing product strategy through craft and research.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end product design work across discovery, research, prototyping, and high-fidelity execution, ensuring solutions are grounded in real user needs and operational constraints.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to define product direction, shape problem framing, and translate requirements into scalable design solutions.
  • Plan, conduct, and synthesize user research activities (interviews, usability testing, journey mapping) to inform product decisions and improve usability.
  • Design complex, data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, operational tools, and analytical systems, ensuring clarity and usability in high-density environments.
  • Collaborate closely during development to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation and to resolve usability or technical gaps.
  • Contribute to and evolve design systems, improving consistency, scalability, and quality across product surfaces.
  • Requirements:

This role requires extensive experience in product design within complex, data-driven or enterprise environments, with a strong portfolio demonstrating ownership from concept to delivery. Candidates should be highly comfortable working on ambiguous problems and translating them into structured, usable product experiences. Strong collaboration, communication, and systems thinking skills are essential, along with the ability to influence product direction through research and design insight.

    • 8+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B, enterprise, or operational software environments
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex product design work
    • Experience designing data-rich interfaces such as dashboards, analytics tools, or operational systems
    • Proven user research skills, including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis into actionable insights
    • Strong systems thinking and ability to design across interconnected workflows and user journeys
    • Ability to collaborate closely with product managers and engineers and contribute to product strategy
    • Experience contributing to or working within design systems
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions clearly
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary with equity opportunities
      • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
      • Retirement savings plans with employer contributions (where applicable)
      • Flexible work environment with remote options
      • Paid time off, holidays, and family leave benefits
      • Home office and connectivity stipends
      • Wellness and professional development support
      • Opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-driven public-sector technology products
