Zopa Bank is on an ambitious growth journey. With a clear target to reach 1 million current account customers and a step-change investment in paid acquisition, we’re building the creative engine to match. We’re now looking for a Senior Designer to own performance creative and organic social — two of the highest-impact creative surfaces in our growth plan.

This is a role for a designer who understands that great creative isn’t just beautiful — it performs. You’ll be at the intersection of data and design, building assets that drive measurable results across paid channels while also developing an organic social presence that builds brand and acquisition momentum over time.

Reporting into the Head of Brand Design & Creative, you’ll work closely with our performance marketing team, channel specialists, and agency partners. And because you’re a full-time in-house resource, you’ll also contribute to wider brand and creative projects when the team needs an extra pair of skilled hands — from campaign development to design system work and product launches.

A day in the life:

Performance Creative

  • Lead creative development across paid performance channels, including Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads, Reddit, YouTube and more, producing high-quality, channel-native assets at pace.

  • Build and maintain a structured pipeline of testable creative: concepting new hooks, formats, and messaging angles, and iterating rapidly based on performance data.

  • Develop modular, scalable creative templates that enable fast iteration and channel expansion without sacrificing quality.

  • Work closely with the Performance Marketing team to turn briefs and data insights into creative hypotheses, then execute and evaluate with speed.

  • Drive motion and video capability across campaigns, reducing reliance on static formats and enabling richer storytelling in paid environments.

  • Support creative briefing and quality oversight for agency and freelance partners, ensuring coherence and performance focus across all externally produced assets.

  • Contribute to building a clear creative feedback loop, from live performance data back into the next round of concepting and production.

Organic Social

  • Own the creative execution of Zopa’s organic social presence across relevant platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others), building always-on content that reflects our brand and drives engagement.

  • Develop original content formats suited to platform behaviours, short-form video, motion graphics, interactive content, data storytelling, that grow our presence and support acquisition goals.

  • Translate product features and propositions (Benefits, AI functionality, Biscuit 2.0, joint accounts) into engaging, human social content that resonates with target audiences.

  • Align organic social creative with paid messaging to build a coherent and consistent brand voice across all channels.

  • Identify and test emerging formats and platform opportunities, contributing to a more dynamic and culturally relevant Zopa social presence.

Wider brand and creative contribution

As a full-time in-house designer, you’ll also contribute to broader creative work when needed, ensuring the team can move faster on campaigns, product launches, and brand moments. That might include:

  • Contributing to brand system and design system development as Zopa evolves its product range and visual identity.

  • Supporting the delivery of campaign and product launch assets across web, in-app, and CRM surfaces.

  • Helping maintain shared creative toolkits, templates, and asset libraries that support the wider team.

  • Providing creative direction and feedback to agency or freelance partners when additional oversight is needed.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner with product marketing to develop campaign-ready messaging for major product launches, including Biscuit 2.0 and the CA AI proposition.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Brand Design and Creative to ensure performance and social output is consistent with overall brand direction.

  • Engage with Experience Design and Product teams when creative spans digital product surfaces.

About you:

Your track record and experience

  • You’re an experienced designer with a strong background in performance creative, you know how to build assets that convert, not just assets that look good.

  • You have hands-on experience producing creative for paid social and paid search campaigns across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and similar platforms, with an understanding of what drives performance in each environment.

  • You’re confident in motion and video production, you can create short-form video content and animated assets as part of your core practice.

  • You’ve managed or contributed to an organic social channel, understanding the difference between brand content and performance content, and how to make them work together.

  • You’re data-literate: comfortable reading performance reports, forming creative hypotheses, and designing tests that generate useful signal.

  • You’re fluent in modern design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects or equivalent) and actively use AI creative tooling to improve speed and output quality.

  • You’re comfortable contributing to brand and design system work — you understand how performance creative sits within a wider visual identity and can flex between the two.

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or a similarly complex product environment is a plus, but not essential, what matters is your ability to make complex things feel simple and compelling.

Your attitude and approach

  • You’re fast and resourceful, you know how to make great work under time pressure and aren’t precious about iteration.

  • You’re genuinely curious about performance: you want to understand why something works, not just whether it does.

  • You balance creative ambition with commercial pragmatism, you care about craft, but you care about results too.

  • You’re a strong collaborator who can work cross-functionally with marketers, strategists, and data analysts without losing your creative point of view.

  • You’re flexible and comfortable switching contexts, moving between performance templates, social content, and brand work without losing momentum.

  • You’re proactive and organised, comfortable managing multiple briefs across different channels and deadlines simultaneously.

  • You can present and rationalise your creative decisions clearly and take feedback constructivel
