- Ensure clean separation of presentation, business logic, orchestration, and data access layers.
- Maintain high code quality through unit testing, secure coding practices, peer reviews, and reusable engineering patterns.
Cloud-Native Architecture and DevOps
- Design and deploy cloud-native application components using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, EKS where applicable, S3, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, Secrets Manager, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Use infrastructure-as-code practices, preferably Terraform, to provision and manage secure cloud infrastructure.
- Support CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation for AI-enabled applications and supporting services.
- Implement operational controls such as logging, monitoring, alerting, health checks, rollback strategies, and environment-specific configuration.
- Apply appropriate hosting patterns across Lambda, ECS, EKS, or containerized services based on workload complexity, scalability, latency, and operational requirements.
AI, RAG, and Data Integration
- Integrate applications with Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI-compatible APIs, or approved enterprise AI platforms through secure and governed API patterns.
- Build RAG pipelines using technologies such as PGVector, OpenSearch, embeddings, document chunking, metadata filtering, and retrieval optimization.
- Support AI-assisted workflows for ticket enrichment, triage, summarization, artifact generation, knowledge retrieval, and review automation.
- Implement prompt management, response validation, exception handling, and guardrails to improve reliability, security, and consistency of AI outputs.
- Work with structured and unstructured data sources, including databases, documents, reports, security review records, and internal knowledge repositories.
Security and Compliance
- Apply secure development practices aligned with Broadridge enterprise security policies, secure-by-design principles, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure proper authentication, authorization, identity management, encryption, data handling, and access control.
- Implement controls to prevent exposure of sensitive data through AI prompts, logs, file uploads, model responses, or downstream integrations.
- Support security review requirements including threat modeling, secure coding, vulnerability remediation, dependency scanning, and cloud control alignment.
- Design AI implementations with appropriate safeguards for prompt injection, data leakage, excessive permissions, auditability, and human approval where required.
Collaboration, Leadership, and Support
- Work closely with stakeholders across geographies to understand requirements, clarify use cases, and deliver secure, scalable solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for new AI-enabled platforms.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and technical design sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong full-stack development experience with Python, React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and REST API integration.
- Hands-on backend development experience using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
