Senior Engineer, Industrial Automation

You will contribute to the design, configuration, and integration of SCADA-based solutions within complex OT (Operational Technology) ecosystems.
The position involves hands-on exposure to industrial control systems, PLC integration, and real-time monitoring platforms.
You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support commissioning, testing, and system validation activities.

Accountabilities:
- Support the design, development, and configuration of SCADA solutions using Siemens WinCC OA for industrial automation projects.
- Assist in integrating SCADA systems with PLCs, field devices, and industrial communication networks.
- Participate in testing activities including FAT, SAT, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC programming, SCADA configuration, and industrial communication protocols under senior guidance.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system configurations, logs, and test records.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
- Follow established engineering standards, quality processes, and best practices across automation workflows.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of industrial automation systems.
- 2.5+ years of experience in industrial automation, SCADA systems, or related engineering environments.
- Hands-on exposure to Siemens WinCC OA, SCADA platforms, and industrial automation systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming and system integration concepts.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, and Profinet.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and OT (Operational Technology) environments.
- Basic programming or scripting skills in Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Experience supporting testing, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Exposure to domains such as Water & Wastewater, Chemicals, or Food & Beverage is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
