In this role, you will act as a key technical leader responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end architecture for large-scale enterprise data and application platforms. You will shape solution strategy from early proposal and capture stages through full implementation and operationalization, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with mission objectives. This position sits at the intersection of data engineering, cloud architecture, and enterprise integration, requiring the ability to unify complex environments into cohesive, governed platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership to modernize legacy systems and enable data-driven decision-making. The role also involves designing frameworks that support AI/ML and emerging GenAI capabilities within enterprise ecosystems. This is a high-impact position where your architectural decisions directly influence performance, cost efficiency, and long-term platform sustainability.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the technical vision and architecture across enterprise programs while ensuring scalable, secure, and modern platform delivery, including:

  • Serving as the lead technical authority across large-scale initiatives from proposal through delivery and operations
  • Designing enterprise data and integration architectures, including Lakehouse, data mesh, and medallion frameworks
  • Defining multi-cloud strategies and hybrid integration approaches across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
  • Architecting API-led and event-driven systems to unify complex enterprise application ecosystems
  • Establishing DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure reliable and automated delivery pipelines
  • Designing operational models including SLAs, observability, data quality, and production support frameworks
  • Developing reusable frameworks, accelerators, and reference architectures to improve delivery efficiency
  • Leading Proof of Concept development and technical demonstrations for client and federal engagements
  • Integrating AI/ML and GenAI capabilities into enterprise solutions to enable innovation and automation
  • Producing high-quality architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical standards
  • Mentoring engineers and contributing to organizational capability growth and technical leadership
  • Requirements:

This role requires deep experience in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and data engineering, combined with strong leadership and communication skills:

    • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or enterprise architecture roles
    • Strong expertise in distributed systems, integration patterns, and large-scale enterprise platforms
    • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or equivalent Lakehouse technologies
    • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming architectures, and data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT)
    • Experience with API development (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) and event-driven architectures
    • Proficiency in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
    • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices
    • Programming proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, Go, PySpark, or SQL
    • Experience with data governance, MDM, and data quality frameworks
    • Familiarity with federal or regulated environments (FISMA, FedRAMP, HIPAA) is strongly preferred
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement
    • Experience supporting proposals, solutioning, and client-facing technical presentations
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • US citizenship required and ability to pass a background investigation
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary range: $144,245 – $165,395 annually, based on experience and location
      • Bonus eligibility and additional compensation opportunities depending on role
