ResponsiveAds Senior Ad Tech & Integration Engineer

Jobgether · Canada

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ResponsiveAds Senior Ad Tech & Integration Engineer based in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of ad tech engineering and partner ecosystem enablement, acting as the critical bridge between a modern responsive creative platform and the complex infrastructure of DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and agency ad ops teams. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of single-tag creative delivery across programmatic environments, eliminating operational friction for trafficking and campaign setup. The position involves deep technical engagement with real-time debugging, tag validation, and integration certification across major ad ecosystems. You will collaborate closely with external engineering teams to scale adoption of next-generation ad standards and agentic ad delivery workflows. This is a hands-on, highly cross-functional role where precision, communication, and systems thinking directly influence production campaign success. You will also contribute to shaping documentation, tooling, and standards that define how partners integrate at scale.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the technical integration lifecycle for partners and ensure smooth, scalable deployment of responsive advertising technology across programmatic ecosystems.

  • Own end-to-end technical onboarding for DSPs, SSPs, publishers, agencies, and channel partners from initial integration review through to first live campaign activation.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for ad operations teams, troubleshooting tagging, trafficking, rendering, and delivery issues across environments.
  • Develop and maintain integration documentation, implementation guides, and self-serve onboarding resources to streamline partner adoption.
  • Test, QA, and certify new ad formats, tag structures, and creative behaviors across major DSP and programmatic platforms.
  • Support expansion of agentic ad standards by collaborating directly with external engineering teams on schema validation and integration certification.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving JavaScript, HTML5 creatives, macros, ad servers, and programmatic delivery chains.
  • Surface recurring technical issues as product feedback, helping shape platform improvements and engineering priorities.
  • Support pre-sales and RFP processes by contributing deep technical expertise in trafficking architecture and integration feasibility.
  • Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings deep programmatic advertising expertise combined with strong frontend engineering and debugging skills in high-scale ad environments.

    • 5+ years of experience in ad operations, solutions engineering, or programmatic advertising technology roles.
    • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and dynamic creative/ad rendering systems.
    • Deep understanding of DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, and platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, and Amazon DSP.
    • Proven experience working with VAST, VPAID, and IAB-compliant ad formats including rich media and responsive creatives.
    • Strong debugging and diagnostic skills using browser dev tools, network inspection, and tag/pixel validation workflows.
    • Experience with trafficking systems, macros, tag management platforms, and programmatic campaign setup.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Nice to have: experience with consent frameworks (TCF/GVL), CTV/DOOH environments, or agentic workflow systems.
    • Benefits:

      • Fully remote-first culture with over a decade of distributed team experience
      • Strong emphasis on work-life balance and flexible working arrangements
      • Generous paid time off and flexible vacation policies
      • Continuous learning support, including access to courses and professional development
      • Merit-based compensation growth opportunities
      • Parental and family leave support through stipend-based programs
      • Opportunity to work in a high-impact role within a fast-moving, technically complex ad tech environment
      • Collaborative, diverse, and autonomy-driven team culture.
