This role sits at the center of financial control and revenue governance for a rapidly scaling fintech operating across multiple international markets. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of all revenue-related financial processes across Indian operations. The position plays a critical role in building strong accounting frameworks, scalable controls, and reliable reporting structures in a high-growth, product-driven environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, operations, treasury, FP&A, and commercial to ensure correct revenue recognition and financial alignment. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with a hands-on approach to financial operations and process improvement. This is an opportunity to shape and strengthen the revenue backbone of a fast-expanding digital financial services business.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own end-to-end revenue accounting, reporting, and control processes while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalability across all financial operations. You will:

  • Manage monthly revenue close activities including revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Reconcile multiple revenue streams with system data, vendor confirmations, and internal financial records
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue performance, key financial metrics, and management information for stakeholders
  • Own revenue accounting processes and ensure compliance with IFRS and/or Ind AS standards
  • Develop and maintain strong revenue control frameworks, governance structures, and internal financial policies
  • Analyze revenue streams, product profitability, and business trends to identify risks, anomalies, and growth opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure correct accounting treatment for new products, pricing models, and business initiatives
  • Oversee reconciliations with banking partners, payment processors, and third-party financial service providers
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with revenue-driven insights
  • Lead audit processes related to revenue, ensuring timely resolution of findings and compliance requirements
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with hands-on experience in revenue control within fintech or financial services environments. You should bring:

    • 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, or revenue controllership roles
    • Professional qualification such as CA/CMA or equivalent postgraduate finance degree
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or Indian GAAP with deep technical accounting capability
    • Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services (lending experience is a plus)
    • Proven experience managing statutory audits for financial services organizations
    • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and commercial awareness
    • Ability to work independently and manage business-critical financial processes
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging senior leadership
    • Strong problem-solving ability and curiosity-driven mindset
