This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, security, and modern software delivery, supporting large-scale federal modernization initiatives. You will design and operate secure, cloud-native platforms that power enterprise data and analytics capabilities across complex environments. The position is highly hands-on, with responsibility for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerized workloads. Accountabilities

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps pipelines that enable continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring of enterprise systems. You will ensure security and compliance are embedded across all stages of the software lifecycle while supporting modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

  • Build and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab, ensuring automated testing, deployment, and validation processes
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code practices and manage scalable cloud environments across platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Integrate security controls, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into automated delivery workflows
  • Support containerized application development and deployment across distributed cloud environments
  • Monitor production systems with continuous alerting, logging, and rollback strategies to ensure reliability and resilience
  • Document DevSecOps processes, standards, and toolchains while maintaining version-controlled engineering practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders to define and enforce DevSecOps standards and best practices
  • Requirements:

    This position requires strong hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps implementation, and large-scale system development. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

    • 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, software development, or cloud infrastructure roles
    • Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows
    • Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and cloud migration strategies
    • Experience working with Linux-based environments and production-grade distributed systems
    • Proficiency with DevSecOps tooling such as Jenkins and GitLab or similar platforms
    • Solid understanding of security compliance, automated scanning, and secure software delivery practices
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities in complex environments
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders
    • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in collaborative, mission-driven teams
