This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior IT Engineer, New Vertical based in the United States.
This role sits at the intersection of IT implementation, customer onboarding, and technical operations within a rapidly scaling healthcare technology environment. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth, high-quality deployments for new dental practice customers while navigating complex systems, integrations, and real-world IT environments. Acting as both implementer and problem solver, you will bring structure to ambiguous onboarding workflows and ensure every deployment reaches production successfully. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, external IT providers, and clinical staff in dental practices. You will also play a key role in improving onboarding processes, increasing automation, and reducing time-to-live. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your work directly shapes customer experience and operational scalability.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end technical implementation for dental practices, ensuring successful onboarding from contract signature through go-live with strong focus on quality and speed.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain integrations with dental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve, Open Dental, and Denticon.
- Manage remote access tools and network configurations at the practice level, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
- Administer and monitor AWS-hosted virtual machines supporting Windows-based ETL pipelines and core product functionality.
- Communicate directly with IT managed service providers, dental staff, and practice administrators to coordinate onboarding activities and resolve technical issues.
- Handle inbound support requests, triage issues efficiently, and ensure timely resolution or escalation when needed.
- Improve onboarding workflows by identifying bottlenecks, introducing automation opportunities, and optimizing Kanban-based processes.
- Partner with Customer Success, Product, and Sales teams to surface recurring issues and continuously improve implementation quality.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in IT implementation, technical onboarding, field support, or customer-facing technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with dental practice management systems (PMS) and understanding of real-world clinical or practice IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of remote access tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Splashtop, RemotePC, or similar technologies.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and system configuration in distributed environments.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent implementations while maintaining high quality and responsiveness.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both IT professionals and non-technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Experience in healthcare, dental technology, or HIPAA-regulated environments is a plus.
