Senior DevOps Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Canada.
This role is centered on building and evolving the core infrastructure that powers a large-scale, mission-critical healthcare platform used by thousands of providers and millions of patients.
You will be responsible for designing and operating highly scalable Kubernetes-based environments that support reliable and secure software delivery.
The position plays a key role in enabling fast, automated, and safe deployments through modern CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
You will work at the intersection of platform engineering and cloud automation, ensuring systems are resilient, observable, and performance-driven.
A strong focus is placed on leveraging modern AI-augmented development tools to accelerate infrastructure and delivery workflows.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to remove friction in the development lifecycle and improve overall delivery efficiency.

Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, fast, and reliable software delivery across environments.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar tools to ensure reproducible and version-controlled environments.
- Manage observability systems including monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and reliability.
- Integrate security and compliance best practices into infrastructure, particularly in regulated healthcare environments.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to improve automation and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and platform teams to improve deployment processes and eliminate delivery bottlenecks.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and performance issues across distributed cloud environments.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or infrastructure-focused roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting, cluster management).
- Proficiency with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, and container security.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI-assisted development tools and modern agentic workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in collaborative environments.
- Experience with Git-based workflows and version control systems.
- Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, EMR, PHIPA/PIPEDA) or observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) is a plus.
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience, up to $150,000 CAD.
