Purpose of the role
To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.
Accountabilities
- Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
- Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
- Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
- Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
- Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

What will you be doing?
Barclays Services Corp. seeks Engineering Manager, Investment Banking IT in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
Manage information technology projects for the development and delivery of Banking CRM IT applications using the Salesforce platform.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to design scalable solutions aligned with overall technology strategy.
Plan the technical execution sequence for the CRM Technology Road map.
Provide accurate time and effort estimates for Project deliverables and allocate resources effectively by balancing out workload and skill sets within the team.
Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, security standards and maintainable scalable code.
Define and drive improvements to the existing engineering processes by identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and anticipate resource needs for upcoming projects.
Guide, mentor, and manage a team of application engineers and foster their professional growth and development by performing regular performance evaluations.
May telecommute pursuant to company policies. [Hybrid role]
Minimum Salary: $217,000 per year
Maximum Salary: $230,000 per year
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
