Engineering Manager, Enablement

This role sits at the core of engineering productivity and organizational scale, focusing on building the systems, tools, and AI-driven workflows that enable engineering teams to move faster and with greater impact. You will lead a high-leverage enablement function responsible for designing internal platforms that reduce friction across the software development lifecycle. This includes building AI-powered pairing systems, automating ticket generation, and expanding contribution pathways for both engineers and non-engineers. Acting as a force multiplier across the organization, you will partner closely with engineering leadership to directly influence velocity, quality, and delivery efficiency. The environment is highly technical, data-driven, and focused on continuous improvement, where experimentation and automation are key drivers of success. This is a foundational leadership role for someone who wants to redefine how modern engineering teams operate at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Build and lead a high-impact Engineering Enablement team focused on accelerating engineering velocity across the organization
- Design and operate AI-powered engineering workflows, including AI pairing systems that enhance developer productivity
- Develop automated ticket generation pipelines that translate product and operational signals into actionable engineering work
- Own and scale non-engineer contribution frameworks, enabling safe and structured code contributions from cross-functional teams
- Establish engineering standards, guardrails, and best practices for AI-assisted development and internal tooling usage
- Build and evolve internal developer tooling and infrastructure that reduces friction across development, testing, and deployment workflows
- Measure and analyze the impact of enablement initiatives, using data to continuously improve velocity and engineering efficiency
- Partner closely with engineering leadership and program management to align enablement efforts with organizational goals
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with exposure to platform engineering, developer tooling, or internal infrastructure
- Proven experience building AI-assisted engineering systems, including LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
- Strong background in designing and scaling automation pipelines that eliminate manual engineering effort
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle bottlenecks and engineering productivity challenges
- Experience in technical leadership roles with cross-functional influence across engineering teams
- Familiarity with modern AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar platforms
- Experience enabling safe code contributions from non-engineers is a strong plus
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define, track, and optimize engineering performance metrics
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
- Strong ownership mentality, comfort with ambiguity, and passion for building scalable internal systems
- Salary range: $200,000 – $225,000 annually, depending on experience and location
