This is a high-impact leadership role at the core of a global-scale developer platform, responsible for shaping the infrastructure that enables thousands of engineers to build, ship, and operate software efficiently. You will lead a team working across cloud foundations, platform security, and developer tooling, with direct influence on how engineering teams deliver products at scale. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and developer experience, combining deep technical leadership with people management. You will define architectural direction across multi-cloud environments while ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Accountabilities
In this role, you will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of a large-scale platform infrastructure ecosystem supporting global engineering teams. You will guide a team of engineers responsible for cloud foundations, security, and developer tooling, ensuring alignment with broader technical and business objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of platform and infrastructure engineers, fostering technical excellence and continuous growth
- Defining and driving the technical vision for multi-cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS environments
- Owning platform security and compliance, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability handling, and secure-by-design practices
- Evolving developer experience tooling such as CI/CD pipelines, build systems, deployment frameworks, and observability stacks
- Ensuring reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency across large-scale distributed systems
- Integrating AI and automation capabilities into infrastructure operations and developer workflows
- Collaborating with product, engineering, security, and executive stakeholders to align platform direction with organizational needs
- Supporting the development and externalization of platform capabilities through modern developer ecosystems
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams in platform engineering, infrastructure, or developer tooling domains
- 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience, with strong exposure to GCP and AWS
- Deep understanding of platform security principles, including IAM, secrets management, and supply chain security
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD systems, build pipelines, deployment patterns, and observability frameworks
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems with trade-offs across reliability, cost, and performance
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-based systems and interest in applying automation to infrastructure and operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
