Commercial Finance Lead

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Analytics, Operations, and Finance Systems to ensure alignment on performance and planning. Accountabilities:
- Act as a strategic finance partner to sales leadership, providing insights that guide commercial decisions and growth strategy
- Own monthly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking for assigned business areas
- Analyze key business drivers and translate financial and operational data into clear recommendations for leadership
- Evaluate financial impact of sales strategies, pricing decisions, discounting, and commercial initiatives
- Partner with Sales and Analytics teams to design, assess, and optimize commission structures and incentive plans
- Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and business case evaluation
- Identify risks and opportunities in performance trends and proactively recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and support complex financial and strategic analyses
- Contribute to workforce and personnel planning to support sales capacity and revenue targets
- Provide input into hiring, performance management, and organizational decisions within supported business areas
- 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, strategic finance, or commercial finance roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred
- Strong experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting in a high-growth or public company environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling; experience with SQL and large datasets is highly valued
- Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and profitability/costing methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights
- Experience partnering with sales or go-to-market teams in a business-facing finance capacity
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong business judgment and ability to influence strategic decisions through data-driven recommendations
- High level of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
