This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all accounting operations within a complex and regulated business environment. You will be responsible for overseeing accounting closures, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes that directly support strategic decision-making.
The position requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with analytical thinking to interpret financial data and explain key variances.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency in financial impacts across business activities.
The environment is structured, deadline-driven, and highly focused on precision, compliance, and continuous improvement.
You will also contribute to audit processes and support the implementation of process efficiencies and automation initiatives.
This is a strategic accounting role with direct influence on financial governance and reporting quality.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate accounting of all company transactions in compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Manage and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations and analysis of accounting accounts, identifying discrepancies and explaining financial variances.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and explanatory notes in compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, analyses, and clarifications as required.
  • Monitor accounting operations and propose process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide financial insights and support to other departments to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct structured analyses of accounting deviations and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Requirements:

    • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related fields.
    • Solid experience in accounting roles, preferably in structured or corporate environments.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
    • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
    • Hands-on experience with SAP, especially the FI module.
    • Experience in process management and/or project management within financial or accounting areas.
    • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under deadlines in a structured and compliance-driven environment.
    • Knowledge of additional SAP modules (SD, MM, CO) is a plus.
    • Exposure to controllership activities or tax accounting is considered an advantage.
    • Familiarity with Brazilian tax reform impacts is a differential.
