Senior Director, Enterprise Risk Management

This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, evolving, and overseeing the enterprise-wide risk management framework within a fast-scaling, highly regulated financial technology environment. You will play a critical part in shaping how risk is identified, assessed, and mitigated across products, operations, and strategic initiatives. The role requires close partnership with executive leadership, compliance, product, and engineering teams to ensure risk considerations are embedded into decision-making from the earliest stages. You will lead the development of scalable risk policies and governance structures that support innovation while maintaining strong regulatory alignment. This position is highly cross-functional, requiring both strategic vision and operational depth. You will also serve as a key advisor to senior stakeholders on emerging risks in credit, financial products, and technology-driven services. It is well suited for someone who thrives in complex, high-growth environments where risk strategy directly shapes business outcomes.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will define and lead the enterprise risk management strategy, ensuring robust governance, regulatory alignment, and proactive identification of risks across the organization.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide risk management framework, including policies, standards, and governance models
- Identify, assess, and monitor strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory risks across business functions
- Partner with executive leadership to integrate risk considerations into product, credit, and business strategy decisions
- Oversee risk reporting and communication to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with compliance, legal, product, and engineering teams to ensure risk alignment
- Establish processes for ongoing risk monitoring, escalation, and mitigation across the organization
- Guide the organization in responding to emerging risks in financial services, credit, and technology-driven markets
- Promote a strong risk-aware culture across all levels of the organization
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in risk management, compliance, audit, or related disciplines in financial services or fintech
- Proven track record in designing and leading enterprise risk frameworks in complex, regulated environments
- Strong understanding of credit risk, operational risk, regulatory risk, and enterprise governance structures
- Experience working closely with executive leadership and board-level stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and risk requirements into actionable business strategies
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Experience in high-growth, technology-driven environments is highly desirable
