This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of finance, product, and engineering strategy, driving the analytical and financial rigor behind key investment decisions. You will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, shaping how resources are allocated across product and engineering initiatives that directly impact growth and profitability. The role requires deep financial expertise paired with strong business intuition to evaluate trade-offs, build scalable models, and influence strategic direction. You will partner closely with senior technical and operational leaders to translate complex initiatives into clear financial outcomes. Beyond analysis, you will help define KPIs, forecasting frameworks, and performance measurement systems that guide execution across the organization. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role in a fast-scaling, data-driven environment where finance is a core strategic partner to the business.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the strategic finance partnership for Product & Engineering, acting as a key advisor to senior leaders and influencing major business and investment decisions.
  • Own and evolve financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling processes tied to product and engineering initiatives and their business impact.
  • Develop and evaluate business cases for major investments, including ROI, LTV/CAC, payback analysis, and other key unit economic frameworks.
  • Partner with leadership to guide resource allocation, pricing and packaging decisions, and long-term strategic planning using data-driven insights.
  • Define, track, and operationalize KPIs and performance metrics across Product & Engineering to ensure alignment with financial and operational goals.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across finance, product, engineering, and business teams to ensure alignment on priorities and execution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and leverage AI-driven tools to enhance forecasting, efficiency, and decision-making quality.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members while contributing to the design of scalable structures and workflows within the function.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification strongly preferred.
    • 12+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or similar roles in high-growth or public tech companies.
    • At least 5+ years of leadership or team management experience within a finance function.
    • Strong expertise in financial modeling, including bottom-up modeling, unit economics, and SaaS or usage-based business metrics.
    • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, board members, and cross-functional leadership teams through clear communication and storytelling with data.
    • Deep understanding of SaaS business models, including pricing, packaging, and revenue dynamics.
    • Strong ability to operate both strategically and tactically, navigating ambiguity while maintaining executional clarity.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, BI tools (e.g., Tableau), FP&A systems, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
    • Demonstrated experience improving financial processes or building scalable finance frameworks in high-growth environments.
