This role sits at the core of a high-scale consumer platform powering live event discovery and ticket purchasing for millions of users. You will build and evolve fast, high-performance web and mobile web experiences that directly impact conversion, revenue, and user engagement across a large marketplace. Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing core consumer-facing frontend systems that power discovery, engagement, and checkout experiences across web and mobile web platforms. You will own technical decisions and contribute to the architecture that ensures speed, reliability, and scalability across high-traffic user journeys.
- Lead end-to-end development of major frontend features, from design and implementation through launch and iteration
- Define and evolve frontend architecture, including component systems, state management, and performance optimization strategies
- Build and enhance high-conversion user flows such as event discovery, search, seat selection, and checkout
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, and Data teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact user experiences
- Design and run A/B experiments, using data to inform and improve product decisions
- Implement frontend observability, including performance monitoring, error tracking, and user analytics instrumentation
- Contribute to and evolve shared design systems and frontend engineering standards
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and cross-team collaboration
- Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility across all user interfaces
Requirements:
This role requires strong frontend engineering expertise with a focus on scalable consumer applications, performance optimization, and product-driven development. You should be comfortable operating in a high-ownership environment and contributing to both architecture and execution.
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience for Senior level; 8+ years for Staff level
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js
- Experience with state management and data-fetching patterns (e.g., Redux, React Query, Zustand, or similar)
- Solid understanding of UI engineering principles, including responsive design, accessibility (WCAG standards), and cross-platform compatibility
- Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems at scale
- Familiarity with frontend testing practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks)
- Experience working on high-traffic consumer products with measurable business impact
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams
- Experience with experiment-driven development and A/B testing is highly valued
- Exposure to performance optimization, frontend observability, and analytics instrumentation
- Bonus: experience in marketplaces, ticketing, e-commerce, or high-volume transactional platforms
