Full Stack Engineer - Early Career

Job Duties/Responsibilities
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Full Stack Engineer focused on network & infrastructure technologies. In this role, you will:
- Perform assignments within technical and engineering organizations supporting the C2BMC program.
- Learn the Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system and its associated technologies.
- Contribute to the development of products that meet defined requirements and adhere to schedule commitments.
- Collaborate with immediate supervisors, project leaders, and internal team members while operating under close or general supervision.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of:
- IT infrastructure and computer-science concepts
- Scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and PowerShell
- Orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet
- Virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Virtual Box, and Hyper-V

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline
- 0‑2 years of hands‑on experience with full‑stack development (e.g., JavaScript/Node.js, Python) demonstrated through internships, co‑ops, academic projects, or personal code repositories.
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and basic scripting (PowerShell or comparable language).
- Familiarity with version‑control systems (Git) and the ability to follow established coding standards and documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks while collaborating effectively with immediate team members and supervisors in an agile environment.
- IAT Level II 8140‑compliant certification not required at hire but must be obtained within 60 days of start date.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with orchestration/automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMWare, VirtualBox, Hyper‑V) or container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and interaction with RESTful APIs.
- Basic awareness of secure coding practices and network security principles.
- Familiarity with the Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system or related defense‑industry command/control systems and associated technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, AWS Cloud Practitioner) or active contributions to open‑source projects.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,700 - $110,630. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
