Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, GRC
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, GRC based in Canada.
This is a high-impact engineering role within a rapidly scaling product organization focused on governance, risk, and compliance solutions for modern enterprises. You will help build and evolve core product surfaces that enable customers to continuously monitor, manage, and demonstrate security and compliance. The role combines fullstack development with technical leadership, giving you ownership over critical systems that must scale with fast-growing enterprise demand. You will work across product and infrastructure layers, shaping architecture decisions and building modern, performant applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Beyond hands-on engineering, you will influence technical direction and mentor other engineers in a collaborative, high-trust environment. Accountabilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex fullstack features and systems across the GRC product area, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in a fast-growing environment.
- Define and influence technical direction for key product and infrastructure domains, helping establish scalable architectures and engineering best practices.
- Build and maintain high-quality applications using modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, and Node.js across frontend and backend systems.
- Drive execution of cross-functional, multi-stakeholder engineering initiatives with significant customer and business impact.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate customer needs into robust, production-ready solutions.
- Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing, contributing to a strong engineering culture.
- Participate in greenfield development initiatives, contributing to the design of new systems and foundational product capabilities.
- Help evolve engineering processes and systems to support rapid company growth and increasing enterprise customer demands.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in fullstack or backend-focused roles.
- Proven experience in technical leadership, including leading projects, driving architecture decisions, or mentoring engineers.
- Strong proficiency with modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, and distributed systems design.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments such as startups or high-velocity product teams with a strong bias for action.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, greenfield, or highly scalable systems from design through production.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
- Interest in security, compliance, or governance domains, or prior experience working in related areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, impact-driven engineering mindset.
