Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack based in India.

This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven engineering team building scalable, data-intensive web applications that directly contribute to improving road safety worldwide. You will work on complex systems that ingest and process high-volume sensor data from connected vehicles and mobile devices, turning them into actionable insights used by insurers, automakers, and mobility platforms. The role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, data systems, and modern web development, requiring strong end-to-end ownership. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy reliable, production-grade applications. The environment is highly technical, fast-moving, and focused on solving real-world problems at global scale. Engineers here are expected to write high-quality code, think in systems, and contribute to architectural decisions that impact millions of users.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable full-stack applications that power large-scale telematics and mobility solutions, working with systems that process real-time sensor and contextual data from millions of devices.

• Design and build scalable full-stack web applications, APIs, and backend services supporting high-volume data ingestion and processing.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into robust technical solutions and implementation-ready designs.
• Develop and optimize backend services using frameworks such as Django and modern web technologies to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build responsive and efficient front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks including ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
• Work extensively with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL-based systems to design efficient schemas and queries.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and system design decisions to ensure high engineering standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, including participation in on-call support for critical systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving development practices, code quality, and team standards.

Requirements

This role requires strong full-stack engineering expertise with the ability to work across backend, frontend, and data layers in a production environment. You should be comfortable building scalable web applications and working in fast-paced, data-driven engineering teams.

• 4+ years of experience in web application development with strong full-stack exposure.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as Django or similar backend technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS and modern frontend development practices including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization.
• Experience designing and building APIs, backend services, and scalable web architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to deliver production-ready software.
• Comfortable working with modern developer tools, including AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Strong understanding of how web applications and distributed systems operate end-to-end.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work from the Chennai office at least 3 days per week.
