WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer 2 (CE2) to join the Nike Chemical Engineering Team in Taichung, Taiwan.

This role is ideal for early-career talent who are passionate about chemical engineering, manufacturing, and product creation. The successful candidate will focus on building strong technical fundamentals, supporting key programs, and contributing to product and manufacturing excellence under guidance.

You will work closely with internal teams and manufacturing partners to support the delivery of high-quality products while developing foundational expertise in materials, processes, and engineering systems

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Drive the product creation process to ensure timely delivery and high-quality standards.

  • Support in transitioning new chemical programs from development into inline manufacturing.

  • Support materials, processes, and product development activities by apply chemical engineering knowledge;

  • Support the assigned functional areas and product categories impact to the business.

Product Excellence

  • Drive product creation processes related to chemical engineering area within established frameworks and standards.

  • Proactively on emerging technologies and share learnings with the team.

  • Ensure factory partners adherence to best practices, including chemical proposal process (CPP) processes and quality requirements.

Manufacturing Excellence

  • Support execution of key footwear manufacturing programs and underfoot initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and factory partners to ensure supply chain readiness.

  • Collaborate with factory partners in validating for implementation of equipment, processes, or method-of-make improvements. 

Sustainable Growth

  • Support development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and engineering solutions.

  • Assist in chemical materials and vendor development activities.

  • Contribute to manufacturing partner capability and capacity growth.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

You will work under the guidance of Chemical Engineering leadership and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Creation, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, and external manufacturing partners.

This role requires strong teamwork and willingness to learn in a highly matrixed, global environment.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers, or a related field (1–5 years experience preferred)

  • Foundational understanding of chemical engineering principles and manufacturing processes

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., DOE concepts)

  • Strong willingness to learn and build technical expertise

  • Good communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to follow structured processes and work under guidance

  • Attention to detail and accountability in assigned tasks
