This role sits at the center of People Operations, combining HR systems ownership, payroll execution, employee support, and recruiting coordination in a highly tech-forward environment. You will act as the primary administrator of the HRIS while ensuring data integrity, workflow automation, and system optimization across the employee lifecycle. A key part of your impact will be delivering accurate and timely payroll while supporting employees with day-to-day HR inquiries and guidance. You will also contribute to recruiting operations, leveraging modern HR and AI-enabled tools to improve hiring efficiency and candidate experience. The position blends operational execution with process improvement, requiring both strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset for automation and optimization. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where you help shape a smooth and scalable employee experience.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary HRIS administrator, managing system configuration, troubleshooting, user support, and data integrity audits.
- Design, optimize, and maintain automated HRIS workflows to improve efficiency across the employee lifecycle.
- Own end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Generate and analyze HR and payroll reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee inquiries related to policies, payroll, benefits, and HR processes.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and leave administration.
- Support benefits administration across medical, dental, vision, retirement, and insurance programs.
- Assist with recruiting activities including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and candidate pipeline coordination.
- Leverage ATS and AI-enabled recruiting tools to improve hiring workflows and efficiency.
- Support compliance efforts by drafting HR policies, SOPs, and employee communications.
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of sensitive HR data and processes.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations roles.
- Hands-on experience as an HRIS administrator (Paylocity or similar strongly preferred).
- Proven experience independently managing payroll processing from end to end.
- Strong familiarity with HR technology, ATS platforms, and modern recruiting tools.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools and automation to improve HR workflows and productivity.
- Experience supporting recruiting functions such as sourcing, screening, and coordination.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Google Workspace.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot between tactical and process improvement work.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, decentralized environment.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field and/or HR certification.
