This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Functional Consultant based in India.
This role is focused on delivering end-to-end functional expertise across Workday HRMS modules in a remote, part-time engagement model. You will act as a key bridge between HR, business stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring Workday configurations effectively support workforce and compensation processes. The position involves hands-on configuration, optimization, and support of core Workday modules, with a strong emphasis on Compensation, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. You will contribute to system enhancements, troubleshoot functional issues, and ensure smooth platform performance across global operations. A significant part of your role includes translating business needs into scalable Workday solutions while maintaining compliance and data integrity. This is a collaborative, stakeholder-facing position requiring both technical depth in Workday and strong functional HR understanding, with overlap into PST business hours.
Accountabilities:
- Provide functional consulting, configuration, and ongoing support for Workday HRMS modules, including Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Time Management, and Absence Management.
- Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with HR, IT, and business stakeholders, translating them into effective Workday solutions.
- Configure, test, and deploy Workday business processes, enhancements, and system updates in alignment with organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues across Workday modules and related integrations to ensure system stability and performance.
- Perform impact analysis for system changes and recommend best practices for process optimization and improvement.
- Support Workday releases, updates, and ongoing system maintenance activities to ensure platform continuity.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, test cases, and training materials for end-users and HR teams.
- Provide end-user training, knowledge transfer, and support adoption of Workday functionalities across the organization.
- Ensure data accuracy, security compliance, and adherence to internal HR policies and governance standards.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide timely support aligned with PST business hours.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of overall experience working with Workday HRMS solutions in functional consulting or implementation roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Workday Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Time Management, and Absence Management modules.
- Proven experience in Workday configuration, business process setup, security framework, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, workforce management, and global HR processes.
- Experience in Workday implementation projects, system enhancements, and production support environments.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and design scalable Workday solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience supporting global teams across different time zones, especially PST, is preferred.
