Role Overview
The Social Media & Content Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s social media presence, creating and repurposing content, increasing organic engagement, growing brand awareness, and supporting content strategy initiatives across multiple platforms. The Social Media & Content Specialist will own day-to-day social media execution while contributing creative ideas, editing content, monitoring performance, and helping build meaningful connections with local audiences. This role is ideal for a creative and organized content professional who enjoys storytelling, audience engagement, and helping brands grow organically through compelling content.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Manage day-to-day activity across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant social platforms.
Maintain a consistent posting schedule aligned with company objectives.
Monitor comments, direct messages, and engagement opportunities.
Ensure brand consistency across all social media channels.
Support ongoing audience engagement and platform growth efforts.
Content Creation & Repurposing
Edit and repurpose existing photos, videos, project updates, and company content.
Create engaging social media posts, reels, stories, and short-form video content.
Develop content that feels authentic and aligns with brand messaging.
Create content that encourages audience engagement and trust.
Adapt content formats for multiple social platforms and audiences.
Organic Growth & Community Engagement
Implement strategies that increase followers, engagement, and brand visibility.
Engage with industry-related accounts, local businesses, and potential customers.
Build awareness through community interaction and strategic networking.
Identify opportunities to strengthen the company’s online presence.
Foster meaningful engagement with target audiences.
Content Planning & Strategy
Maintain and manage a content calendar.
Identify content opportunities based on projects, company updates, and ongoing activities.
Support content planning aligned with marketing objectives.
Track content performance and recommend improvements.
Contribute creative ideas to improve content effectiveness and engagement.
Reporting & Analytics
Monitor social media performance across platforms.
Provide recurring reporting on follower growth, engagement, reach, and content performance.
Analyze performance trends and identify optimization opportunities.
Recommend content improvements based on engagement metrics and audience behavior.
Support data-driven decision-making for social media initiatives.
Qualifications Experience
2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for businesses.
Experience creating and editing short-form video content.
Experience developing content for business social media channels.
Experience managing multiple social media platforms simultaneously.
Portfolio demonstrating social media growth and content creation results.
Experience supporting audience engagement and organic growth initiatives.
Experience tracking and analyzing social media performance metrics.
Qualifications Skills
Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities.
Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar content creation tools.
Strong understanding of social media best practices and platform algorithms.
Strong content creation and content repurposing capabilities.
Ability to create engaging short-form content across multiple formats.
Ability to manage multiple social media channels simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and content quality.
Highly organized and deadline-oriented.
