Manager, Marketing Production - Sub Saharan Africa

We are looking for a Marketing Production Manager to help drive creative innovation and production of best-in-class entertainment campaigns for the Sub-Saharan Africa markets. The candidate will project manage the production and delivery of all marketing campaign deliverables for titles across our Series, Films and Unscripted slates ensuring that all the elements that go into making a great campaign are delivered on time and on budget. In this role you will be the go-to partner supporting our marketing, publicity and social teams. This means that you are a nimble, solutions-oriented, project management expert, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires you to bridge competing priorities amongst global, regional and local cross-functional stakeholders.
You will work closely with in-house producers in our AV, Art & Print as well as external creative and production agencies, to manage Netflix’s production and operational campaign needs. You will partner closely with marketing managers working across the Sub-Saharan Africa team, to ensure operational excellence and solutions led project management approach to all the campaigns you are assigned to. You will serve as the connection point to all cross-functional stakeholders, facilitating alignment between global and local teams dedicated to creative, localisation, strategy, media, marketing, publicity and social.
The ideal candidate will be a creative project manager or producer with a strong background in marketing and a high production local expertise. Experience of project managing marketing campaigns either client-side or at an agency is essential. Managing competing priorities between global and local cross-functional teams with exceptional communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in the Netflix culture.
Responsibilities include:
Effectively project managing multiple title launches to ensure timely and accurate development, production and delivery of creative assets and consumer experiences in the region
End-to-end production management for regional shoots (esp. AV), activations and asset creation for bespoke title campaigns
Driving production for local implementation of global creative materials to deploy marketing experiences and extensions with a high regional relevance
Managing agency and vendor relationships in the region by leading day-to-day communications, defining and tracking scope of work, creative budgets and timelines
Define, negotiate, communicate, implement and monitor technical quality standards and creative integrity on all project deliverables according to Netflix creative guidelines
Driving and enabling innovation and creative excellence across channels like Radio, Social, Digital, OOH and Experiential
Support on partner projects to ensure that Netflix standards are met in collaboration with the Regional Marketing teams
Personality Attributes & Requirements:
Strong familiarity with the South Africa market, media, vendor and preferably entertainment landscape.
Fluency in English is required for collaboration, and one more local language a plus but not essential
7 or more years of experience as a producer or production manager
Used to executing productions from concept to final delivery, prioritizing productions, maintaining production efficiency and more
Profound knowledge and experience with on-set production, events, activations, OOH, radio and TV production (360-degree campaigns)
Solid experience in working with creative agencies and production houses, and the ability to provide concise, clear, and actionable creative feedback/ direction
Passion for storytelling, and solid project management skills
Proactive, fast, and flexible problem-solver with superb time, resource, and stakeholder management
Ability to manage a high volume of creative and campaign types in parallel, with diverse geographically dispersed teams to lead the exchange of information and asset delivery effectively
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment, possessing a high level of intellectual curiosity, and demonstrating strong and effective judgment in the face of ambiguity
