PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION
The APSA Regional Marketing Director, Poultry is part of the Global Marketing, Poultry and reports to the Global Marketing Lead, Poultry. This unit sets the strategic direction for the Poultry business worldwide and ensures alignment with this strategy across functions within the organization. The role is also responsible for regional deployment of global campaigns and projects across APSA, as well as maintaining strong engagement with regional key opinion leaders and priority customers.
This position, APSA Regional Marketing Director, Poultry, shall be based within the APSA region.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
PRINCIPAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced APSA Regional Marketing Director, Poultry to support APSA local Poultry operations in implementing global marketing campaigns and ensuring the growth and development of the Poultry business across the region. As the primary point of contact between APSA Poultry operations and Global Marketing, Poultry, this role plays a key part in coordinating deployment campaigns for new products, key brands and integrated solutions, while contributing to the strategic direction of the Poultry portfolio over the next 5–10 years.
The APSA Regional Marketing Director, Poultry is primarily responsible for:
Support the implementation of global marketing plans, known as mPlans, across APSA to strengthen the strategic positioning of global brands.
Coordinate and ensure successful APSA implementation of global deployment campaigns connected with launches of new products, key brands or integrated solutions.
Provide regional input into the strategic direction of the Poultry portfolio for the next 5–10 years, reflecting APSA market dynamics, customer needs and competitive developments.
Contribute to long-term strategic thinking on Poultry business offerings by our Animal Health division, including vaccines, devices, services and integrated customer solutions.
Assist the Global Technical Marketing Directors in identifying and coordinating regional Life Cycle Management needs across APSA.
Assist Global Marketing Directors in portfolio management across APSA Poultry portfolio assets, including gross margin optimization, supply improvements, rationalization and diversification.
Identify regional marketing training needs and contribute to the development and deployment of relevant training programs.
Foster regular and efficient communication and engagement with APSA commercial operations through regular country visits, business reviews and regional meetings.
Support the Regional VP and country operations teams, including sales, marketing and technical colleagues, to maximize business results. This includes development and implementation of the APSA Poultry Business and Marketing Plan, aligned with the Global Strategic Poultry Business Plan, with participation from key country colleagues and periodic monitoring of progress.
Cross-pollinate and scale best practices within APSA and contribute relevant regional learnings to the global Poultry community.
Coordinate relevant APSA Poultry initiatives, including events, meetings and congresses, involving the Regional VP, country teams and support departments such as meetings, compliance and regulatory affairs, while managing the respective project budgets.
Foster involvement, information flow and participation of APSA commercial operations in Global Poultry Business initiatives.
Maintain regular feedback loops and clear communication with key stakeholders, including Global Marketing and Technical Directors, regional leadership and relevant support functions.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
Education:
Post-Graduate degree
Veterinary or relevant Poultry technical training
Marketing degree is a plus
Required Experience and Skills:
8+ years of relevant Poultry industry experience in APSA or another region, with a technical background related to Poultry production systems.
Advanced analytical skills and the ability to work with different sources of information.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural, interpersonal and general communication with a natural ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to create, nurture, and drive a collaborative team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, namely Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills; additional regional languages are desirable.
Strong financial and business acumen background.
Advanced organizational and time management skills.
Availability to travel extensively across APSA and globally as required; significant travel should be expected.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Project management
Additional APSA regional language skills are desirable.
Experience working successfully in international, cross-functional and matrix organizations.
