Team Description 

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.  VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments. 

We are seeking a client facing Technical Project Manager with strong experience in technology delivery, digital transformation, software architecture, and payment systems. This role combines end to end project ownership with solution architecture leadership, supporting banks, fintechs, processors, and other clients in modernizing their payment ecosystems. The Technical Project Manager will lead client facing technology implementation and digital transformation engagements focused on modern payment systems. This role combines delivery leadership with solution architecture expertise, requiring the ability to manage technical squads, define governance, assess client infrastructure, and guide implementation of secure, scalable, and future ready payment solutions.

The role will work closely with banks, fintechs, processors, and internal teams to deliver and implement solutions and API based integrations. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management discipline, technical architecture knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end technology implementation and digital transformation projects.
  • Manage delivery across scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, milestones, KPIs, and quality. Manage project backlogs and priorities to ensure continuous value delivery.
  • Define and execute project governance, ensuring clear decision making and accountability.
  • Coordinate cross functional technical squads, including internal teams, client teams, architects, developers, and implementation specialists.
  • Ensure implementation roadmaps are realistic, sequenced, and aligned with Assess client infrastructure, including payment platforms, integration layers, operational readiness, and technical capabilities.
  • Guide architecture decisions across from a delivery perspective
  • Act as the main interface between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment, communication, and timely decision making.
  • Client facing experience with ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Maintain a client focused and value driven approach throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience managing complex technology or digital transformation projects.
  • Structured approach to planning, execution, risk management, and governance.
  • Results driven mindset with a focus on delivery outcomes and business impact.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic and fast paced environments.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and solution oriented thinking.
  • Ability to balance agile execution with enterprise level governance and stakeholder reporting.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, integrations, and implementation patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud native architecture, microservices, and API first design.
  • Fluent Spanish and advanced English  

Required Qualifications

  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Bachelor degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technology implementation, digital transformation, software delivery, or related technical projects.
  • Experience leading technical squads in agile environments.
  • Proven track record delivering complex technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, integrations, and cloud environments.
  • Background in consulting, technology, payments, fintech, banking, processors, or financial services preferred. Knowledge of global payment networks, infrastructures is a plus.
