AvePoint Australia delivers information technology projects for customers across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with local and offshore delivery teams and global stakeholders. Our ANZ Project Management Office (PMO) operates with established governance and delivery standards to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects - Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) / Platform‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS)- from initiation through to closure, ensuring outcomes are achieved to the agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications with clarity and confidence.
- Build and manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing across multiple teams and time zones.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies, governance, and controls to drive predictable and consistent delivery.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and changes, escalating early to minimise delivery impact.
- Collaborate closely with internal delivery, sales, and global teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
- Facilitate project kick-offs, status meetings, and stakeholder forums, ensuring required project artefacts are recorded for governance and audit purposes.
- Manage the delivery of internal AvePoint projects that deliver measurable business value.
- Build a strong understanding of AvePoint solutions and clearly articulate their business value to customers and stakeholders.
- Travel occasionally within Australia and to New Zealand as required.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering projects in the SaaS industry, ideally within information governance, security, and data protection domains.
- Strong client‑facing experience with proven stakeholder management capability.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, with the ability to apply them to deliver projects end‑to‑end successfully.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience working across multiple teams and time zones.
- At least two recognised project management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, AgilePM, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
- High level of accountability, urgency, and a proactive engagement style.
- Creative problem‑solving skills with a forward‑thinking mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
