This senior leadership role sits at the center of organizational strategy and execution, responsible for designing and scaling the operational backbone that enables mission-driven impact at a national level. The Senior Director, Business Operations will partner closely with executive leadership to improve systems, streamline processes, and strengthen organizational effectiveness across multiple teams. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring that day-to-day operations run efficiently while long-term scalability is continuously advanced. Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of enterprise-wide operational systems, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and consistency across teams and programs. Oversee process improvement initiatives and drive adoption of best practices that enhance organizational performance.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify operational gaps, develop strategic solutions, and execute high-impact initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage compliance, legal infrastructure, contract oversight, and vendor relationships while ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive project management excellence across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, effective prioritization, and strong change management practices.
  • Champion innovation by identifying and implementing AI-enabled and technology-driven solutions that improve productivity and reduce administrative burden.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the business operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in business operations, strategy, or organizational effectiveness, including leadership roles in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
    • Strong background in process improvement, project management, and operational strategy, with proven success scaling systems and driving organizational change.
    • Experience overseeing compliance, contracts, risk management, and operational governance within a structured or regulated environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
    • Proficiency with modern business systems, operational tools, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled workflow solutions.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
