This senior leadership role sits at the core of a dynamic, purpose-driven organization operating across the EMEA region. The Commercial Operations Director is responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy for a specialized business unit within the medical devices and regulatory services space. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution, driving revenue growth while strengthening long-term customer and stakeholder relationships. You will lead and develop high-performing commercial teams across multiple markets, ensuring alignment with regional objectives and global priorities. With a strong focus on operational excellence, you will oversee forecasting, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute the commercial strategy for the medical devices regulatory services business across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with growth and profitability targets.
- Drive revenue generation, market expansion, and sales performance through effective planning, execution, and performance monitoring.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and commercial initiatives to support long-term growth.
- Lead, coach, and develop regional commercial teams, fostering capability building, engagement, and succession planning.
- Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and business planning activities while ensuring robust KPI tracking and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with global and regional functions to ensure seamless execution and an optimal customer experience.
- Champion operational excellence through process optimization and continuous improvement across commercial operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles, ideally within medical devices, regulatory services, or quality assurance environments.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, delivering commercial targets, and leading successful business operations.
- Strong leadership experience with the ability to build, manage, and develop high-performing international teams.
- Deep commercial acumen combined with strategic thinking and a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning within a complex, multi-market environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior executives.
- Solid understanding of industry dynamics within regulated sectors such as medical devices or healthcare-related services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
