Senior Project Manager

This role sits at the center of high-impact, late-stage pharmaceutical development programs within a fast-paced, global life sciences environment. You will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives supporting the execution of strategic therapeutic portfolios in oncology and rare diseases. Acting as a key driver of planning, governance, and delivery, you will ensure alignment between scientific, operational, and commercial priorities. The position requires close collaboration with senior leadership and global stakeholders to translate strategy into execution. You will oversee budgets, timelines, and risk management while maintaining visibility across all project dimensions. This is a hands-on leadership role where precision, communication, and accountability directly influence program success and patient impact.
Accountabilities
Acting as the central coordinator for late-stage drug development programs, you will oversee planning, execution, and governance across multiple functional teams while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will manage budgets, timelines, resourcing, and reporting activities to maintain full visibility of program health and delivery performance. You will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, support senior leadership decision-making, and ensure structured communication across global stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end management of complex, multi-functional pharmaceutical development programs from planning through execution
- Own project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and milestone tracking to ensure delivery against strategic objectives
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and other scientific domains
- Facilitate regular project governance meetings and stakeholder updates
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while managing change control processes and program adjustments
- Maintain project management systems and ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and transparency
- Support alignment between project execution and broader organizational strategy
- Mentor and guide project team members and contribute to strengthening PMO practices
- 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or drug development environments, including late-stage clinical programs
- 5+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional, multi-stream initiatives
- Strong understanding of clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, or related life sciences functions
- Proven experience in budget management, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Proficiency with project scheduling and reporting tools (SmartSheet preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, global matrix organization
- PMP certification or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
