This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Deal Commercial Strategy & Operations Lead based in the United States.
This role sits at the center of Sales, Finance, and Legal, acting as the senior operator shaping how complex deals are structured, approved, and executed across a global, fast-moving SaaS environment. You will lead high-impact Deal Desk operations, ensuring pricing, quoting, and contract processes are both scalable and commercially sound. The position combines strategic influence with hands-on execution, particularly in high-stakes or non-standard deal scenarios. You will work closely with senior Sales leadership, serving as a trusted escalation point and operational extension of the Deal Desk leadership team. A strong focus on automation, process optimization, and AI-driven workflows is key to improving efficiency and reducing manual effort. This is a highly cross-functional, remote-first role where clarity, speed, and ownership directly shape revenue outcomes and operational excellence.
Accountabilities:
- Act as the senior operational lead within the Deal Desk, supporting escalation management and serving as the primary point of contact for complex, high-value, or non-standard deal structures.
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Legal stakeholders to align on pricing governance, contract exceptions, and approval frameworks.
- Oversee deal review and approval workflows, ensuring compliance with pricing policies, revenue recognition principles, and internal standards.
- Identify recurring deal friction points and proactively drive improvements in processes, tooling, and policy enforcement.
- Build, maintain, and improve deal playbooks and enablement materials to support consistent execution across the Sales organization.
- Develop automation and AI-enabled workflows to streamline quoting, approvals, and deal lifecycle management.
- Track and analyze Deal Desk performance metrics and translate insights into actionable operational recommendations.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely deal execution and reporting.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or similar roles within Enterprise SaaS or B2B environments.
- Strong expertise in quote-to-cash processes, pricing strategy, deal structuring, and revenue operations fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and CPQ systems, including workflow optimization and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to manage complex deal negotiations and cross-functional stakeholder alignment with Sales, Legal, and Finance.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn deal data and operational signals into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-paced, remote, and globally distributed teams is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to apply automation and AI tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to remain effective under pressure during peak deal cycles.
